Bruce M. Fischer D.C., C.C.S.P.
A graduate of the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, Dr. Bruce Fischer has been serving the Boca Raton and surrounding areas since 1992. He serves as the Chiropractic Team Physician for several sports clubs, teams, and organizations in South Florida. As well as the local athletes, professional, collegiate, and Olympic athletes come from all over the country for Dr. Fischer's expertise and experience. Dr. Fischer has treated thousands of patients and is one of only a handful of physicians in the world who can teach the highly specialized procedure: Manipulation Under Anesthesia, a treatment utilized for chronic pain, restricted joints, and lack of function.

Naveed Shafi, M.D.
Dr. Naveed Shafi received his Board Certification in Sports Medicine in 2003 and has been practicing Sports Medicine and Non-surgical orthopedics and in South Florida ever since. After earning his M.D., he completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic, where he participated as one of the team physicians for the Florida Panthers NHL hockey team, Florida Bobcats professional arena football team, and the Miami Fusion MLS soccer team. In addition, his residency experience includes work with Texas Christian University, Southern Methodist University, the Special Olympics, and various high schools.
Dr. Shafi completed fellowship and board certification in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the University of South Carolina, where he served as a team physician for the all 19 of the USC Fighting Gamecocks Division I athletic teams, the Capital City Bombers professional baseball team, the Columbia City Ballet, and several community sponsored road races. He has served as physician for several NCAA championship and Olympic Athletes as well.
He joined Boca Trauma and Rehab in 2009, after serving as Medical Director, Professor, and Head Team Physician for all 17 Florida Atlantic University teams, where he met Dr. Fischer. He brings to Boca Trauma and Rehab knowledge and expertise in neck and back pain assessment, traumatic injury rehabilitation, manipulation under anesthesia, hyperbaric medicine, Platelet Rich Plasma, and non-surgical orthopedics. As a physician and a former certified personal trainer, Dr. Shafi enjoys all aspects of health and fitness in his professional and personal life and is known by his patients and staff as a charismatic physician that devotes quality time to his patients.

Sarah-Lee Ramdeen Cucu, D.C.
Dr. Sarah-Lee Ramdeen-Cucu is a chiropractic physician and a native of Jamaica. She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Philosophy. Dr. Ramdeen-Cucu later immigrated to the United States of America and attended Florida Atlantic University, at the Boca Raton Campus. During her years at FAU, she pursued pre-medical studies and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology. Dr. Ramdeen-Cucu began her training as a chiropractic physician at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida and has experience as a chiropractic physician for over 13 years. She is also trained and certified in physiotherapy.

Our Therapists
Kara Brown, PT
Kara Brown, MPT has been a part of the Boca Trauma and Rehab team since 2018, as an evaluating therapist, and has over 27 years of PT Outpatient experience. Kara received her Masters of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University in 1995. In addition to her extensive orthopedic background, her specialty training includes: orthopedic rehabilitation including pre and post-surgery rehab, being Pilates certified, having strong manual therapy skills and training including myofascial release therapy, being certified in vestibular rehabilitation, and extensive experience in women’s health and pelvic dysfunction rehabilitation, as well as urinary incontinence rehabilitation and geriatric rehabilitation. Kara has a strong belief in the importance of treating the body holistically, as a whole continuum. She is a strong advocate for preventative medicine and empowering others to maximize their quality of life.
Michna Doblas, PTA
Michna joined the staff of Boca Trauma and Rehab in 2017 and is a graduate of South University's PTA program. Prior to South, Michna earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Florida Atlantic University.
